My SUNDAY HUNDRED : SUNDAY 24th AUGUST 2014

Had a great time today on my “Sunday Hundred” … At last some good weather and a bit of sun , reasonably dry roads and little wind .. Just the job thank you .. So I took my SARTO round the Wirral a bit then headed out through Kinnerton , Hope, The Steps, and was feeling pretty nifty , so went over the World’s End and down to Llangollen and over the wonderful Horseshoe Pass.. I caught 5 guys going up the ‘shoe and the last guy I caught said … “Hey Dave, You doing your Sunday 100 ??” That was very good for the morale and whoever it was , let me know and a big “THANKS” from me !
I then dived down the Nant-y-Garth which had some slippy bits in the wet patches under the trees , but no problem for the SARTO .. then into Ruthin and then left off the main Loggerheads road and through Cilcain , over Rhosesmor just to finish the legs off .. BUT, even though this old heart has been playing me up lately , I got 100 miles in the bag and about 6,000 feet of upwards and 17 mph , so a good day I’d say … Still a bit of life in the legs .. There better had be as I’ve got big plans for my 65th year … HEY IT’S JUST STARTED PEEING DOWN … NA NA NNA NA.. BEAT YOU !!!
