CAROLE GANDY IS JUST TRULY AMAZING... AND FIONA DUNCAN DOES A LIFETIME BEST !!
At 65 years of age, Carole is having the BEST year of her life... On Saturday in the VTTA East Anglain 25, she produced a simply AMAZING, OUSTANDING, BRILLIANT 56'30" to WHIP the girls who beat her in the 50 last week.. How on earth do you do a 56'30" 25 mile TT at 65... When your name is Carole Gandy, it's easy.. SHE WANTS IT STILL .. AND SHE PROVES IT WEEK AFTER WEEK AFTER WEEK.. THE COACH IS LEFT JUST SPEECHLESS ... NEARLY... !!!
FIONA, has broken the one hour barrier for the first time in her life in the Scottish Champs. taking the Bronze Medal and the Team Gold in a Scottish Record... She produced a SUPER DOOPER 59'39" and she and her coach are "OVER THE MOON!" ...
RICHARD MEADOWS also had an impressive weekend with his best result yet in Belgium (where he is based) .. He formed the race winning break of 6 riders and worked hard to keep the move away and finished FOURTH in the group Gallop.. GREAT RESULT TO BUILD ON NOW RICH !!
THE MEGA CHALLENGE, proved to be both... Mega and a HUGE challenge... It was a great success, apart from some bright individuals who thought it clever to take signs down and even turn some around the wrong way.. Again the weather wasn't the best, but everyone seemed to have a great time..
Dave rode it with Steve Henson and Matt Howitt, who were both FLYING! Matt had a struggle up the Bwlch-y -Groes which came after 110 miles ! The course was 148 miles around with 16,000 feet of climbing and Steve and Dave finished equal 6th on time with a 9.07.28... Matt was 11th, 5 minutes behind the two... BUT a great ride nonetheless.. Dave was pretty spent at the finish as he had had a hard build up to the event with organisational duties and signing all day on Friday and most of Saturday...
STILL, IT WAS A GREAT EVENT, YET AGAIN ORGANISED TO PERFECTION BY TERRY AND SUE BELL... DAVE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO GIVE SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE FANTASTIC... "TRULY FANTASTIC"!!! HELPERS... A WONDERFUL EFFORT BY ALL CONCERNED.. AND MUCH< MUCH APPRECIATED BY DAVE...

ALSO WELL DONE TO EVERYONE WHO GOT ROUND THE VARIOUS ROUTES... THIS IS THE HARDEST SPORTIVE IN THE WORLD.. NO KIDDING.... SO CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU GUYS !!
