CYCLO SPORTIVE PREP CAMP A HUGE SUCCESS ...

I AM JUST BACK AFTER SPENDING A WONDERFUL WEEK IN THE LAKES AT OUR FIRST SPORTIVE TRAINING PREP CAMP.... THE WEEK ATTRACTED NEARLY 40 RIDERS AND WAS A MASSIVE SUCCESS... ALTHOUGH BOTH CHRIS AND MYSELF ARE ABSOLUTELY WIPED OUT TODAY ... IT WAS A LOT OF VERY HARD WORK, I HAVE TO SAY !!.. BUT WORTH EVERY MINUTE OF IT !!
Terry Bell and Sue Bell did most of the preparatory work and what a sterling job they did ...We had lots of help from the local YHA , Martyn Farmer from Herbalife , Derek "camera man" Boocock and some great Guides... The whole week was just amazing, with HUGE value added with speakers every night talking on a wide range of relevent subjects pertaining to Sportive Prep.. We also had good weather and some UNBELIEVABLE rides over The Hardknott , The Wrynose etc. etc...
We all learnt a great deal and the talks were very informative , which have also given me lots of new ideas and training tips to pass on to everyone.. We also made a very special drink with Herbalife with the help of Martyn Farmer and hope to start producing it as THE drink to get you through any Sportive.. I found it unbelievably good... Also some new equipment and bits and pieces I'll be talking about in the near future..
ALL IN ALL , AN ABSOLUTELY "MUST DO" FOR NEXT YEAR... SIMPLY SUPERB....!!! I HAVE BEEN TO HUNDREDS OF TRAINING CAMPS, AND, BELIEVE ME, FOR SHEER VALUE AND "VALUE ADDED" WITH ALL THE EXTRAS TERRY BELL ORGANISED< IT WAS "THE BEST CAMP I HAVE EVER BEEN INVOLVED WITH !!!
THANKS FROM CHRIS AND MYSELF TO ALL THOSE WHO MADE IT SUCH A BLAST... PLUS THE ATHETES WHO DID ALL THE HARD TRAINING , OF COURSE !!!!.. A TRULY AMAZING WEEK !
