JIM DOYLE HAD A REALLY BAD CRASH EARLY THIS YEAR, BUT HE BOUNCED BACK REALLY QUICKY AND IS BETTER THAN EVER....
Jim got his biggest win of the year on Sunday in the 102 Km Sligo Letterkenny RR.. He was attacking throughout the race and got into the vital break and then in the sprint beat the likes of Dinny Doherty, Joe Barr, and Joe Patton...This must make Jim the most improved rider this year. He only just got his first Road Race win a couple of weeks ago and now wins this "Classic".. ABSOLUTELY SUPERB RIDE JIM... OUT OF THIS WORLD...
Jane Kilmartin finished a magnificent THIRD overall in the womens L'Etape du Tour on Sunday... FANTASTIC RIDE JANE...
Fiona Duncan got TWO PB's at the weekend. She improved her 10 mile TT time by a massive 48 seconds to a 24'06" and then on Sunday she knocked a huge NINE MINUTES off her 50 mile TT time with a 2.09.45... WHAT A WEEKEND FIONA...
Mel Williams is having a year "off" this year as her work has been getting on top of her training and proving too much to fit it all in.. BUT she has still been ticking over and entered the Masters National Track Champs "for a laugh!" and came away with a Silver Medal in the Scratch Race and a Silver Medal in the Pursuit ... PITY HELP THEM WHEN YOU MAKE A SERIOUS RETURN TO THE RACING MEL !!

Well I rode my 3rd Sportive of the year on Sunday, organised by my "saviour" ( in the Mega challenge) Terry Bell... He asked me to take one of his proteges around the course this year , a triathlete called Iain Grant. Last year he had done an 8.39.30 and wanted to get under 7.30.00 this year. Tall order, but he was a complete novice last year and under Terry's guidance has come on in leaps and bounds... To cut a long story short, he was as good as gold, did as he was told and although we had some major hold ups with mechanical trouble with his chain and a "going off course" glitch, and a real suffering Triathlete up the Kirkstone, the guy was as strong as hell and WOULD NOT GIVE UP !! He came back after the Kirkstone and just hung on in there with not one moan or complaint... He did a fantastic ride and without the troubles where we lost oodles of time.. well, who knows. And who cares, because it was "mission accomplished in any case, as he got back in 7.24 51 ... An absolutely unbelievable improvement and a GREAT ride by the guy. I think he has a great future and should just stick to the bike. He is so bloody strong.. He has masses of potential as a bike racer... WELL DONE IAIN... PROUD OF YOU MATE !!
Looking at the event from my point of view, I was "over the moon". I am coming back really strong and was my old self this time , especially from 4 hours onwards. The "old" Dave Lloyd was there at last.
Now, as you all know, I don't sell anything on my site and all I sell is ME... But I can recommend products and I have been hooked up with Martyn Farmer from a company called HERBALIFE. I had asked him about putting on the weight I had lost and looking to find my old power again. We had a long talk a few weeks back and he formulated a programme to help me put weight back on and some very new ideas about nutrition (for me anyway!!!) WELL, I simply cannot believe the results so far and if things progress the way they have, I can see me being even stronger than last year at some point in the near future.
I am convinced this product is amazing and will be using it and other associated products from HERBALIFE to experiment with my nutrition, which has, to be honest, not been THAT scientific or controlled. Also the biggest PLUS for Chris and myself is that this product is completely NATURAL!! Don't get me wrong , I eat well and Chris makes sure of that, but this has opened up a whole new concept in how to "feed my body" and how to control my weight. In my case it is putting weight on in a controlled way, and the power is certainly coming back. I felt great on the Kirkstone on Sunday and as strong as hell all the way from there to the finish... A few weeks ago I was in the depths, thinking I would never get over that flipping crash in Denia.. BUT NOW ..... Who knows??

As I say I don't sell anything off my website, but I will keep you informed as to how things progress and if this product is as good as it seems , I will certainly share my experiences with you and be doing a whole product test on my site as soon as I have tried it for longer... Have to admit though... I FEEL GREAT AGAIN.... IS IT BECAUSE OF HERBALIFE??? ... BEGINNING TO THINK... IT IS !!!
