SOMETIMES I WONDER ???

I set out this morning with all good intentions to do 100 miles into Wales as the forecast was good... But on heading over there after a lap of the "Wirral Hills" it looked very ominous that rain was on the way, so I went over Delamere ... I had my first puncture before leaving the Wirral, my second near Hatchmere in Delamere , so decided to make my way back to the Wirral with only one inner tube left !
By this time it was raining big style and I got my third puncture with about 10 miles to get home .. So I had to ride on the rear rim , and going through Neston , 4 "jokers" passed me , one who said "You should have more sense than riding in this Lloydy!" and one other said "Get some mudguards fitted!" ... I was so taken aback I couldn't think of a witty repost that wasn't obscene, so said .. "Hi guys, just punctured !"
On reflection , I should have told these "dick brains" that I don't use mudguards so I don't have to ride with idiots like them ... and if they were riding in such bad weather , I'm sure I could too ... AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY I WANT TO LEAVE THIS AREA ?????
