IT WAS THE GIRLS WHO DOMINATED THE RESULTS AGAIN AT THE WEEK-END!
Julie Cook had a superb ride in the Tyneside Vagabonds Hilly 50 when she produced a top drawer ride to finish 17th in the mens event and beat the next girl by TWENTY FOUR MINUTES.... WHAT A RIDE JULIE !
Carole Gandy marches on with a great ride in the Medway Velo 25... She turned out a 1.02.03 which was faster than her ride on the same course last week whereas the winner Pete Tadros went slower... NO STOPPING YOU CAROLE ..
Kara Chesworth is really getting the hang of top flight Womens Road racing with a brilliant 8th place in a bunch sprint at the major event at Hillingdon on Sunday.. It was a very close sprint, won by Helen Birkmeyer, who is a specialist sprinter.. But Kara was just one place behind Emma Trott... JUST GETTING BETTER AND BETTER KARA.. THAT WIN WILL COME SOON !!
Colm Cassidy was in every move in the Irish Road race, The Tommy Givan Memorial and then missed out on the sprint from the winning break of three, which he had instigated..!! when he punctured with a mile to go.. HARD LUCK COLM...
