JULIE COOK PRODUCED A STUNNING RIDE IN THE WEST PENNINE HILLY 14 ON SATURDAY...
Julie has had a fantastic winter with Dave and really has knuckled down to a brand new and very hard training regime, to hopefully get her right up there in road races this year.. BUT, so far this year she has been Time Trialling to FANTASTIC effect.
On Saturday she won the West Pennine Hilly 14 in a stunning 37' 45" to win the women's prize by SEVEN AND A HALF minutes from Theresa Taylor and only ONE MINUTE 50 SECONDS behind her ex National Road Race Champ, husband David !! THIS ALSO PUT HER IN 10th PLACE OVERALL !! GREAT, GREAT RIDE JULIE !!
CAROLE GANDY CARRIED ON WITH THE BEST START TO A SEASON FOR YEARS WHEN SHE ANIHILATED THE WOMEN IN THE "SOUTHBOROUGH AND DISTRICT" 10 MILE TT...
Carole produced another of her "specials" in foul weather, with hail and wind when she pulled out a superb 25'29" to Pete Tadros's winning time of only 21'49".. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING RIDE CAROLE ...WHAT A START TO 2009 !!
