Andy Fenn
"I am a youth rider wanting to get the best out of himself and my parents contacted Dave to see whether he would be prepared to take on a 13 year old.
Dave was more than happy to, but only once he had seen how I performed on a RAMP test. His enthusiasm and knowledge came across at this first meeting where he aceppted me as one of his riders.
His weekly training programmes and easy contactabilty make him, from my perspective, an ideal coach and demonstrate to me that he is a point of refrence and support.
I strongly reccommend dave as a coach, but only if you are prepared for some very hard work and to listen to advice that you may not want to hear.
However the training is obviously beneficial, as shown by the results I obtained this year. These include:
- 4th in the national junior 25 mile time trial championship
- 3rd in the GHS (national under 17) 10 mile championship
- Gold silver and bronze medals in the national under 16 track championships
- and remember I am still only 14 years old!
I am looking forward to my first full winter with Dave and fully expect to have another outstanding racing season in 2005."
