Mark joined Dave in the Autumn of 2004 and began setting PB's for time trials in his first couple of seasons. Mark has problems with old Rugby injuries so getting his position sorted out took a long time and he has now found his forte by riding Sportives.
There was a huge setback for Mark over a year ago when he was T-boned by some idiot jumping a red light and leaving Mark with really horrendous injuries. But to say that Mark is as "hard as nails" is an understatement, as when Chris and Dave visited Mark the day after his long operation to put him back together, he was out of his bed !! After a few days of hospital "food", Mark signed himself out, and went home ! Dave had Mark back on his Turbo in super quick time and when Mark did a Ramp test about 12 weeks after the crash, he produced his best ever results!
He has since ridden Sportives with Dave and is SO strong on the flat, it's scary.Next year Mark is targetting La Marmotte and other big Sportives and with his determination, you just know he will BLAST them... ONE TOUGH COOKIE... THAT'S OUR MARK... GREAT GUY TOO !
