Another epic confrontation for me on the E72 against the current 25 mile National Champion, Martyn Pyne.
I was, as yet unable to take part in National Championships as an ex-pro (until I got the rules changed) so was pitted against Pyne for this as a North v. South revenge match ... Again I had prepared meticulously with Eddie and I put a full minute into Martyn with a 50' 29" effort.
Pyne was really shocked as he had taken it for granted that he would win this one as his form was excellent ... If I have learnt one thing from this game it's ... TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED ... EVER!
